NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. THIS CONTEST IS SUBJECT TO ALL APPLICABLE CANADIAN FEDERAL, PROVINCIAL AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS AND IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. PARTICIPATION IN THIS CONTEST CONSTITUTES FULL AND UNCONDITIONAL AGREEMENT WITH AND ACCEPTANCE OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES.
(1) CONTEST PERIOD:
THE GOODLIFE FITNESS x CANADA BASKETBALL CONTEST (the “Contest”) begins at 10:00 a.m. ET on June 8, 2026 and ends at 11:59 p.m. on Monday June 26th, 2026 (the “Contest Period”).
(2) ELIGIBILITY:
The Contest is open to legal residents in all the provinces and territories of Canada (excluding the province of Quebec) (the “Territory”) who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry (each an “Entrant”). Employees and the immediate families (including those with whom they are domiciled) of Canada Basketball (“CANADA BASKETBALL”) and GoodLife Fitness Inc. (“GOODLIFE” and together with CANADA BASKETBALL, the “Contest Sponsors”), and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries,affiliates, directors, officers, governors, agents, their advertising and promotional agencies (together with Contest Sponsors, the “Released Parties”) are not eligible to enter the Contest.Determinations of eligibility shall be made by CANADA BASKETBALL, in its sole discretion.
(3) HOW TO ENTER:
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. During the Contest Period,each Entrant must complete the following steps to obtain an entry (each, an “Entry”) into the Contest:
● Open the CANADA BASKETBALL website (the “Website”),and navigate to the Contest Landing Page.
● Once the Entrant completes the 7-day pass registration,they must complete all required fields on the official contest entry form to receive one (1) eligible Entry into the Contest.
● To be eligible for the Contest, the Entrant is responsible for filling out all the required information, including their email address, on the Entry ballot.
● *Note: Limit of one 7-day pass per person/Entrant. The pass is only valid for non-GOODLIFE members and first time GOODLIFE visitors who have not been a member of GOODLIFE in the last 12 months. The pass is valid for7 consecutive days after activation and may only be activated during staffed GOODLIFE hours. Other than the registration of the 7-day pass, no purchase is required for a chance to win the Prize.
Each Entrant can only attempt one Entry within the Contest Period.If it is discovered by CANADA BASKETBALL that any person has used or attempted to use multiple names, identities, email addresses or any automated, macro,script, robotic or other system(s) or program(s) to enter the Contest or to otherwise participate in or disrupt the Contest or to tamper with the Website software, they may be disqualified from the Contest. CANADA BASKETBALL reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to require proof of identity or eligibility in a form acceptable to CANADA BASKETBALL: (i) for the purposes of verifying an Entrant’s eligibility to participate in the Contest; (ii) for the purposes of verifying the eligibility and/or legitimacy of an Entry (or purported Entry)for the purposes of the Contest; and/or (iii) for any other reason CANADA BASKETBALL deems necessary, in its sole discretion, for the purposes of administering the Contest in accordance with these Official Rules. Failure to provide such proof to the satisfaction of CANADA BASKETBALL in a timely manner may result in disqualification of the Entrant in the sole discretion of CANADA BASKETBALL.
By entering the Contest, each Entrant agrees to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of the CANADA BASKETBALL, which are final with respect to all matters relating to the Contest.
(4) PRIZES:
There is one (1) prize package available to be won (the “Prize”).
The Prize consists of:
• Two (2) free twelve-month memberships to GOODLIFE;
• Two (2) courtside tickets to Canada Basketball’s Senior Men’s National Team FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualifier game on July 3, 2026, in Hamilton,Ontario – Canada versus Puerto Rico;
• Round-trip transportation for two (2) individuals to Hamilton, Ontario for the game;
• One (1) night single-room hotel accommodation for two (2) individuals in Hamilton, Ontario;
• One (1) custom CANADA BASKETBALL and GOODLIFE gear pack; and
• One (1) post-game meet-and-greet opportunity with select Canada Basketball athletes.
The approximate retail value of the Prize is C$15,000depending on point of departure and travel arrangements.
The Prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable, refundable or redeemable for cash. GOODLIFE and CANADA BASKETBALL reserve the right to substitute the Prize or any component thereof with a prize of equal or greater value should the Prize become unavailable for any reason. The winner and guest are solely responsible for all expenses not specifically included in the Prize description, including but not limited to meals, gratuities, incidental expenses, personal expenses and transportation to and from departure points. All travel arrangements,accommodations and event details shall be determined by GOODLIFE and CANADA BASKETBALL in their sole discretion. The winner and guest must travel together and participate in the Prize components on the dates specified by the Contest Sponsors.
Each Prize Winner (as defined in Section 6 below) and their guest will be responsible for any costs or expenses associated with a Prize not outlined as included above, including but not limited to transportation to and from the arrival/departure point in Hamilton, transportation to and from the game, drinks, meals, gratuities and all incidental and personal expenses.
Each Winner must follow all directions of the Contest Sponsors with respect to the Prize or any aspect thereof. Failure to do so may result in termination of participation, or continued participation, in the Prize or any aspect thereof.
Details of all pre-arranged events and bookings, including without limitation transportation, hotel rooms, game tickets, including seat location, and determination of Canada Basketball athletes for the meet-and-greet will be arranged by the Contest Sponsors in their sole and absolute discretion. The Prize outlined above must be accepted as awarded, without substitution, and are not transferrable, refundable, for resale or, where applicable, convertible to cash. The Contest Sponsors reserve the right, in the event that a Prize, or any component of a Prize, cannot be awarded as described herein for any reason, to substitute the same for another prize or component of equal or greater value,without notice or liability. In the event that a substitute Prize is awarded,such Prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be exchanged for cash (where applicable) or otherwise. The odds of winning a Prize will depend on the number of eligible Entries received during the Contest Period.
Any flight(s), train(s), bus(es) and/or accommodation will be arranged at the discretion of the Contest Sponsors. Reasonable efforts will be made to arrange transportation departing from a major airport, train station or bus terminal close to the Winner’s residence. Each Winner and their guest will be responsible for their own transportation to the flight, train or bus departure location, and their own transportation to and from the arrival/departure point in Hamilton. The Winner and their guest must travel together on the same itinerary, must possess all required travel documents,including, without limitation, visas, valid passports and any applicable parental consents, and are responsible for obtaining, at their sole expense,all desired health, medical, hospital, travel or other insurance. The Contest Sponsors will not obtain or be responsible for obtaining or paying for any such documents or insurance. In the event the Winner or their guest engage(s) during the use of the Prize in behaviour that (as determined by the Contest Sponsors in the Contest Sponsors’ sole discretion) is obnoxious or threatening, illegal or that is intended to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person, the Contest Sponsors reserve the right to terminate the Prize early, in whole or in part, and send the Winner and/or their guest home with no compensation.
(5) WINNER SELECTION:
On June 27, 2026 at approximately 10:00 a.m. ET, one random draw for the Prize from amongst all eligible Entries received during the Contest Period will be conducted at the offices of CANADA BASKETBALL (1 Westside Drive,Unit 11, Etobicoke, ON, M9C 1B3 Canada). The Winner will be contacted by a CANADA BASKETBALL representative following the draw via email at the email address used by such Entrant to enter the Contest. CANADA BASKETBALL’s will attempt to contact Winner by email message within 72 hours following the draw,and if they fail to response, they will be deemed to have forfeited the Prize and will be disqualified and another Entrant may be selected from the remaining eligible Entries until such time as contact is made with a Winner, there are no more eligible Entries, or there is insufficient time to award the Prize,whichever comes first. In the event that an alternate Entrant is required to be selected, this same Winner selection process will apply to such alternate Entrant. The Contest Sponsors will not be responsible for failed attempts to contact a Winner.
(6) AWARDING OF PRIZE
Upon successful contact with a winning Entrant via email, such winning Entrant will be required to provide certain contact information, as requested by CANADA BASKETBALL. To be declared a winner (“Winner”), the Entrant and, where applicable, their guest, will also be required to sign a Declaration and Release of Liability Form (the “Release Form”) confirming compliance with the Official Rules, acceptance of the Prize as awarded, without substitution, and releasing the Released Parties from any liability in connection with the Prize or the Contest before being granted the Prize. The Winner may also be required, at the Contest Sponsors’ discretion, to enter into a license agreement with CANADA BASKETBALL or the Contest Sponsors.
If the Winner does not meet all of the Contest requirements or refuses to provide the contact information requested by CANADA BASKETBALL or does not sign and return the Release Form (or the signed Release Form from their guest)or license agreement to CANADA BASKETBALL within the time frame specified therein, that Winner will forfeit their Prize and CANADA BASKETBALL shall be entitled (but not obligated) to select another Entrant from the remaining eligible Entries until such time as contact is made with an Entrant or if there are no more eligible Entries, whichever comes first. This process may continue until the Prize has been awarded or there is insufficient time to permit the awarding of a Prize. In the event that an alternate Winner is required to be selected, the same above-noted process will apply. The Contest Sponsors are not responsible, whether as a result of human error or otherwise, for any failure to contact any Winner.
(7) SUPREMACY OF RULES
In the event of a conflict between the Official Rules and any instructions or interpretations of these Official Rules given by an employee of CANADA BASKETBALL regarding the Contest, these Official Rules shall prevail. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of these Official Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest-related materials, the terms and conditions of these Official Rules shall prevail, govern and control.
(8) INDEMNIFICATION
By submitting an Entry into the Contest, each Entrant confirms their understanding of and compliance with these Official Rules. Each Entrant, their guest, and each of those parties’ respective representatives, heirs, next of kin or assignees (“Entrant’s Representatives”), hereby releases and holds the Released Parties harmless from any and all claims, demands, orders, judgments or demands whatsoever,including, without limitation, claims or demands in respect of copyright,trademark or other intellectual property infringement; liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to the Entrant, their guest, Entrant’s Representatives or any other person, including personal injury, death or property damage, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any Prize, participation in the Contest, any breach of the Official Rules, or in any Prize-related activity.The Entrant, their guest, and Entrant’s Representatives agree to fully indemnify the Contest Sponsors from any and all claims by third parties relating to the Contest, without limitation.
(9) LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
None of the Contest Sponsors assumes any liability for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by Website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest or for any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of Entries,the selection of a Winner or for any printing or other errors in any Contest-related materials. The Contest Sponsors assume no responsibility for any error, omission, tampering, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or authorized access to, or alteration of Entries. The Contest Sponsors are not responsible for any problems, viruses or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of email or on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, on a mobile device, on the App, or at any website or combination thereof, including injury or damage to an Entrant’s or to any other person's mobile device or computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in the Contest.
Entrants remain responsible for obtaining the data network access necessary to use the App. The Entrant’s mobile network’s data and messaging rates and fees may apply if the Entrant accesses or uses the App from his or her mobile device, and the Entrant shall be responsible for such rates and fees. The Entrant is responsible for acquiring and updating compatible hardware or devices necessary to access and use the App and any updates thereto.
None of the Contest Sponsors assume any liability for any personal injury or property damage or losses of any kind, including without limitation,direct, indirect, consequential, incidental or punitive damages which may be sustained to an Entrant's or any other person's mobile device or computer equipment resulting from an Entrant's attempt to either participate in the Contest or download any information in connection with participating in the Contest or use of the App or any website. Without limiting the foregoing,everything on the App or any website is provided "as is" without any warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to,the implied warranties of merchant ability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
(10) CONTEST ADMINISTRATION
All decisions regarding the Contest remain with CANADA BASKETBALL.CANADA BASKETBALL reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify,cancel, suspend and/or terminate any or all parts of the Contest for any reason.
CANADA BASKETBALL reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual found to be in violation of these Official Rules.CANADA BASKETBALL reserves the right to refuse an Entry from a person whose eligibility is in question or who has been disqualified or is otherwise ineligible to enter. Any attempt to tamper with the entry process, interfere with these Official Rules, deliberately damage the App or any website or undermine the administration, security or legitimate operation of the Contest,is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and CANADA BASKETBALL reserves the right to seek damages and/or other relief (including legal fees) from all persons responsible for such acts to the fullest extent permitted by law, which may include banning or disqualifying Entrants from this and future contests of CANADA BASKETBALL. In its sole determination, CANADA BASKETBALL may disqualify any person who acts in any manner to threaten or abuse or harass any person and to void all such person’s associated Entries. CANADA BASKETBALL reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate or suspend the Contest should fraud, virus, bugs, or other reasons beyond the control of CANADA BASKETBALL corrupt the security,proper play or administration of the Contest.
(11) PRIVACY AND PUBLICITY RIGHTS
By accepting the Prize, the Winner and their guest agree to allow the Contest Sponsors and their respective subsidiaries and affiliates,promotional and advertising agencies and representatives the right to use their name, biographical information, image, photos and/or likeness, voice,statements and city of residence for programming, promotion, trade, commercial,advertising and publicity purposes in connection with this Contest, at any time or times, in all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide, including but not limited to on television, video, the World Wide Web and Internet,without notice, review or approval and without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.
CANADA BASKETBALL respects your right to privacy. Personal information collected from Entrants will only be used by CANADA BASKETBALL to administer the Contest and, only if consent is actively given at the time of entry, to provide Entrants with information regarding upcoming promotions and/or events from CANADA BASKETBALL. (12) GOVERNING LAW
The Contest shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules or the rights and obligations as between any person and/or Entrant and the Contest Sponsors in connection with the Contest shall be governed by and construed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario. The Contest Sponsors and all Entrants hereby attorn to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Toronto, Ontario, in respect of the determination of any matter, issue or dispute arising under or in respect of the Contest.
(13) SEVERABILITY
The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Official Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Official Rules shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with the terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein.
(14) MISCELLANEOUS
Any words herein importing the masculine gender shall include the feminine gender and vice versa in both the singular and the plural.
